Raditional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods based on the direct discretization of partial differential equations (PDE) encounter great difficulty in simulating multiscale flows with high efficiency. The matching of discrete mesh size and physical model scale is investigated and a new methodology is proposed to construct CFD scheme for multiscale flows.
