Recently, Clostridium difficile has beencome a prominent pathogen associated with nosocomial infection. The present study collected 94 Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) cases, and analyzeding the clinical and microbiological features comprehensively. The results indicated that no specific clinical genotype or microbiological features were found in severe cases, and that antimicrobial resistance could be the primary reason for epidemic strains leading to the dissemination and persistence of CDI.
