Self-delivery of a peptide-based prodrug for tumor-targeting therapy

In our study, we have reported a novel RGD-mediated self-deliverable prodrug for tumor therapy. The prodrug self-assembled into nanofibers, which sequestered active CPT molecules within the hydrophobic cores and therefore ensured their bioactivity. RGD groups on the surface of nanofibers indexed the prodrug into tumor tissues/cells, and effectively inhibited tumor growth.
