Gender-related differences in immune response to flu vaccine

Male immune systems produced weaker responses to flu vaccines than female immune systems, possibly due to a set of genes that may be regulated by testosterone, according to a study. Women's immune systems are generally stronger than those of men, responding more robustly to both infection and vaccination, although the cause of the difference was previously unknown.
