Treatment of Alzheimer’s disease using chemically exfoliated WS2 nanosheets to inhibit amyloid β-peptide aggregation

Herein, chemically exfoliated 2D WS2 nanosheets were employed to strongly inhibit Aβ aggregation. Intriguingly, by using unique high NIR absorption property of WS2, the preformed amyloid aggregates can be safely dissolved upon NIR irradiation.
